Brief Introductions On The Succession Of Drong Ngur Choje’s Incarnation

The first Drong Ngur Choje: Drogon Gangpa

He was born to father Kyungpo Jonag and mother Rigsang Daki Dekyong Tso with many signs of wonder at the province of nomad region called Gyawa of Shangin the Wood Sheep year of the third Rabjung Cycle,1174. He passed away at the age of 84 at the major monastic center of Gyawa Drong Ngur situated in the lower part of Wathang valley in the Earth Female Sheep year of the fourth Rabjung Cycle, 1259.

The second Drong Ngur Choje: Drakpa Gyalpo

He was born to father Drime and mother Kunsel with many wondrous signs at Shagrong Thakhang in the Iron Monkey year of the fourth Rabjung Cycle, 1260. He passed away without any pain in the Wood Female Ox year of the fifth Rabjung Cycle, 1325.

The third Drong Ngur Choje: Khyungton Hodpo

He was born to father Kunsang Dechen and mother Palmo-the emanation of Tara- at the upper part of Da Gyang valley in the Fire Tiger year of the fifth RabjungCycle, 1326. He passed away in the Earth Dragon year of the seventh Rabjung Cycle, 1389.

The fourth Drong Ngur Choje: Gushri Lhundrup Gyaltsen

He was born in Palden Gyawa Drong Ngurpa Chenpo’sfamily lineage to father Kyongla Gyaltsen and mother Norkyi at Sog Drongur Labrang in the Water Monkey year of the seventh Rabjung Cycle, 1392. He passed into nirvana at Wathang in the Water Sheep year of the eightRabjung Cycle, 1463.

The fifth Drong Ngur Choje: Karma Pemai Gyaltsen

He was born to father Pema Dorji and mother TseringDolma at Nagsho Drulda in the Wood Monkey year of the eighth Rabjung Cycle, 1464. He passed away at Hogmin Tsurphu in the Water Dragon year of the ninth Rabjung Cycle, 1532.

The sixth Drong Ngur Choje: Karma Dondrub

He was born to father Phuntsok Tsering and mother Nyima near the major monastic center of Marpa Lotsa at Lhodrak in the Wood Horse year of the ninth RabjungCycle, 1534. He passed away into nirvana with many wondrous signs in the Fire Dog year of the tenth RabjungCycle, 1586.

The seventh Drong Ngur Choje: Karma Gewang

He was born to father Migmar and mother Kunsang near Toelung Shongpa Lhachu in the Fire Pig year of the tenth Rabjung Cycle, 1587. He passed away suddenly into nirvana when he was fifteen years old in the Iron Female Ox year of the tenth Rabjung Cycle, 1601.

The eighth Drong Ngur Choje: Gangpa Chogyal

He was born to father Pema Wangyal who was from tantric family and mother Damcho Dolma at Gangchenomad division, Upper Nagsho in the Water Male Tiger year of the tenth Rabjung Cycle, 1602. He passed away at Tsenden monastery in the Water Male Dog year of the tenth Rabjung Cycle, 1622.

The ninth Drong Ngur Choje: Pandita Gewai Wangpo

He was born in Gyalwa Gangpa family lineage to father Tsering Choegyal and mother Pema Kyi who had the signs of dakini in the Water Male Pig year of the tenthRabjung Cycle, 1623. He passed away at his major monastic center in the Fire Female Ox year of the twelfth Rabjung Cycle, 1697.

The tenth Drong Ngur Choje: Konchok Tenzin Sangpo

He was born to father Dechen and mother Dolma at Gegal division in the Earth Male Tiger year of thetwelfth Rabjung Cycle, 1698. He passed away with many wondrous signs in the Water Male Dog year of thetwelfth Rabjung Cycle, 1742.

The eleventh Drong Ngur Choje: Tenzin Dondrub

He was born to father Dorje and mother Rinchen Dolma at Tagring in the Water Female Pig year of the twelfth Rabjung Cycle, 1743. He passed away in the Wood Female Snake year of the thirteenth Rabjung Cycle, 1785.

The twelfth Drong Ngur Choje: Tenzin Namdrol

He was born to father Dondrub Tashi and mother Sichonear the Northern Namtso in the Fire Male Horse year of the thirteenth Rabjung Cycle, 1786. He passed away into nirvana in the Iron Female Rabbit year of the fourteenth Rabjung Cycle, 1831.

The thirteenth Drong Ngur Choje: Karma Badra

He was born to father Kelsang who was from tantric family and mother Doltso at Beshung in the Water Male Dragon year of the fourteenth Rabjung Cycle, 1832. He passed away in the Iron Female Snake year of thefifteenth Rabjung Cycle, 1881.

The fourteenth Drong Ngur Choje: Konchog Tenzin

He was born to father Kunsang Dorje and mother Rinchen at the northern Mritikha in the Water Male Horse year of the fifteenth Rabjung Cycle, 1882. He passed away into nirvana on the tenth day of the fourth Tibetan month in the Water Male Dog year of thefifteenth Rabjung Cycle, 1922.

The fifteenth Drong Ngur Choje: Tenzin Drodul

He was born to father Gyalthang Trulku and mother Palsang at Nagsho Gongsum Lhemoche in the Water Female Pig year of the fifteenth Rabjung Cycle, 1923. He passed away at Driru Distt in the Iron Male Dog yearof the sixteenth Rabjung Cycle, 1970.

The sixteenth Drong Ngur Choje: Nyeton Tenpai Gyaltsen

He was born to father Nyima Wangdue and mother Pasang at Tsoshar, Mustang, Nepal in the Wood Male Rat year of the sixteenth Rabjung Cycle, 1984. He completed his studies on Sutra and Tantra as well as other fields of study and is currently expanding his enlightened activities. May he live long!
